"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."

The scene at the intersection of Ferris and Consaul Road this afternoon after a night of snowfall and car accidents.

***
Amidst the snow on Central Avenue is Metro Ford of Schenectady. A bright, yellow Ford Mustang V6 struggles in a battle between snow and tires. Clearly not made for winter driving, the car is directed by two workers and operated by another for 10 minutes until it finally escapes the snow and heads toward the back of the lot. The man directing from the front throws his hands up in excitement as they finally complete their task, and then a look of frustration returns to his face as they move on to the next vehicle.

The snow changed to a wintry mix but that didn't stop the children from enjoying their snowday.

Teamwork was the word of the day for this shoveling family.

As the clock hits 6:30 p.m. on Breanna Drive in Schenectady, it seems as though the entire neighborhood has planned to plow their driveways at the same time. Four snow blowers and two pairs of shovels take to the driveways as the neighborhood takes on our first real snow storm all winter. A neighbor waves across the street to a fellow snow blower and continues on his way with his coat zipped up to his neck and sporting both hat and gloves.
